I beta tested a video game for a major game company back in march. Immediately after playing it once, I began to have periodic violent episodes during which i have no control of myself, and then pass out. When I wake up, i have no memory of what has just happened. I do not have epilepsy, and nothing like this has ever happened to me before playing this game. I have had 16 of these episodes over the last several months.

The company that made the game denies that this beta test even took place, and has been lying and covering up their involvement ever since.

It's too much info to go into in a board post, but I have a website that i put up last month in my search for answers, with a detailed blog of my ordeal, as well as evidence i've compiled of this company's deceit:

Your symptoms are alarmingly similar to those exhibited by people suffering from a brain tumor (yes, I looked at the blog.) You need to get yourself checked out by a doctor -PRONTO!

And no, the company isn't engaging in "mind control." Graphics aren't that quick. You could actually see the inserted frames (I've tested this out on people myself) -- and you'd know something was different or wrong.

Psychological studies show that "mind control subliminals" just don't work on most people (the exception is the extremely gullible and the very easily hypnotized.) However, many serious medical conditions -- including bipolar depression -- can produce similar effects.

You need medical attention.

I did go to the doctor a few weeks ago, and had an EEG and an MRI, the results of which came back normal. Several other people have been affected by the game this way as well, so i don't believe its a pre-existing condition.

i'm quite sure this isn't from playing a video game. video game companies don't have some secret agenda. they are just regular companies trying to sell an entertainment product. making there consumers break out into violent episodes or pass out isn't really good for bussiness.

game companies arn't owned by the government. generaly they are pretty small companies consisting of 20+ people. those people are mostly artists and programmers, just trying to make a living. i know a few people that work at game companies. i'm trying to break into the industry myself. to say that game developers are putting subliminal messages in there games is just beyond silly. why would they do this? how would they benifit from this? i mean seriously.

and like byrd said. subliminal messaging doesn't really work all that well. i studied it a bit myself and tried it with other people and nothing seemed to work at all really. and i'm pretty sure subliminal messages wouldn't cause such violent outbursts. i've never heard of such cases. if seeing a word like "destroy" hidden in something, like in that pic on your website (which kinda looks faked to me) makes you and or a few others violent, then you have more serious issues.

i think you should keep seeing a doctor, if he says there seems to be nothing wrong, then go to a differnt one. chances are it's not the video game. in fact im 99.99% sure it's not the cause.

How can you be "quite sure this isn't from playing a video game" jra? Are you a psychologist or a neurologist who has studied this? The human brain is a pretty complex organ.

And i agree with you, putting something like this into a game probably wouldn't be in a company's best interest, which is probably why they've been trying to cover it up. Even if the company didn't authorize this, if it was the work of some sick individual programmers or something, the company still needs to take responsibility for the effects their product has had on people (and not just myself, btw)

And i'm not saying that the word "destroy" hidden in thta frame is necessarily THE thing that causes these blackouts, the fact is that i don't know what exactly about this game has caused them. The game company knows more than they are leading on though, and i want to get to the bottom of it.

Posted a phone call i taped last week with Anthony Chau, the media relations specialist for the game development company in question. He's clearly hiding something. Listen to the mp3 at:

Smells like publicity stunt folks.

This must be a stunt for the website. This reminds me of the March 8th hoax. Clearly this is a hoax/punlicity.

What game was it?

Finally! Someone asked what game is it! Yeah...what game is it - I'd like to know so maybe I can buy it and then check this out for myself...so...hmm...what game did you say it was?

EDIT: Nevermind, I know what game it is: Its the dreaded Sega video game! NFL2K4! (2004)

Sounds like a stunt to me.

he didn't say. i think this is a hoax to get customers. Notice the user had the same name as the company so he probably works for them. Just promoting stuff

I've watched these videos on your site..

How long had you been playing this game before the symptoms started? What do your parents have to say about all of this?

While I'm not about to risk my career disclosing personal information on a public internet forum, I can say that I have had some experience in these matters. IF implicit (subliminal) conditioning worked, the outcome would be the same across all subjects according to research that has been done.

In one of your videos, the person says "red 47, blue 66". In another of the videos, the person says, "red 45, blue 54". The numbers should be the same to support your argument. Also I see no evidence of tremors, muscle stiffness, or of incontinence. Yes, the human brain is complex (so is every organ system). We know a great deal about a person's behavior during certain neurological events.

In the first blackout video, the person appears to be unconscious for ~ 40 seconds. Then, a strange thing happens. The person pauses the video game, hops up, and jogs over to the camera to turn it off. Had an actual neurological event occurred, that "jog" wouldn't have happened.

Additionally, when someone has a petit mal seizure or a dissociative episode, they don't jump up real quick to turn off the camera after having their episode. The person on your footage did this after at least 2 episodes. I would have believed you, but when I saw this I realized that it is not neurologically possible.

Has this company filed slander charges against you yet?

The doctor had me go to the hospital on July 29, where I had a blood test, an EEG, and an MRI. The results came back normal, no evidence of epilepsy or tumors.

How long did these tests take? What specifically did they test in your blood?

How much sleep did you get the night before the 29th?

MKULTRA --

Pack it in. It's obvious this is some attempt at a "grass-roots" viral marketing stunt for the upcoming Sega game.

I think I'm going to send Sega a bill for the free advertising they're getting here.
