Well now we know.. it wasnt a terrorist attack.. but we still dont know what it was.. maybe a "test" what would happen or just a plot to force new investions on US power grid and to its security measures..

An overload at the Niagra powerplant being blamed, and high temps. Unlikely. The temps there are pretty much normal and standard for that area. High humidity is normal for this region too. Thats whats being blamed, they deny terrorist attack though.

Still cities affected: NYC, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, Ottowa, Toronto., everything inbetween.

Last time there was amassive blackout in major cities, in the summertime, there were riotsand chaos. Any of you HAARP watchers get a current or recent reading?

I see on television that theres thousands of people running around the bridges in front of cars in large groups trying to get home. I find it quite enjoyable, makes them look like cows.

Thats exactly what I mean. Last time something like this happened, there were massive widescale riots and looting.

And this isnt just NYC, either, this is detroit, Toronto, Ottowa, Toledo, Cleveland, the whole northeastern seaboard. Detroit is a tinderbox.

Any other black outs reported elsewhere? Anything going on at the HAARP site?
Id check out HAARP, but it doesnt want to load on this caveman comp im on.

NEW YORK (Aug. 14) - A huge power blackout hit U.S. cities spreading from New York to Cleveland and Detroit and north into Canada Thursday afternoon.

In New York City, the blackout affected subways, elevators and airports, including John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia airports.

Thousands of people streamed into the streets of lower Manhattan in 90-degree heat.

In Toronto, Ontario, too, workers left their offices after the blackout hit shortly after 4 p.m. EDT.

Traffic lights were out throughout downtown Cleveland, creating havoc at the beginning of rush hour.

There were reports of outages in New Jersey and Connecticut as well.

Every prison in New York state reported a loss of power and had switched to backup generators, said James Flateau, a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections.

White House officials were monitoring the blackout from Washington and from San Diego, where President Bush addressed troops at midday.
