one for sure and one is speculative

However, the first actual flight of the J-10 might have taken place two years earlier - in mid-1996 - but suffered from an engine malfunction with unknown consequences. In late 1997 the second flying J-10 "1002" prototype was lost in a crash which also killed the chief test pilot.

99% of engine malfunctions end up as crashes.

IAF reluctant to place orders for LCA

BANGALORE: The indigenously developed light combat aircraft (LCA) programme is in danger of being undermined by time overruns. The Indian Air Force is delaying taking to its natural conclusion the announcement made last February by Chief of the Air Staff S.P. Tyagi that orders would be placed "soon" for 40 LCAs.

chinawhite no IAF source has ever said that they will not buy the IAF. That is only media speculation to sell more of their copies.

All that the Indian Air Force wants is the management of the LCA to be transferred to HAL and the article makes that clear.

The IAF has alredy CONFIRMED an order for the 40 LCA's and just because they have'nt spoken anything more about it dose'nt mean that they wont buy it.

And isi'nt it ironical that you blamed this very source for being very biased to Indian developed tech and used it as an excuse for saying filth about the Kanchan armour.

well said mirza; chinawhite makes personal attacks and says terrible things to other people for some typo-errors and talks badly of other people's education ...and look at his own esteemed english above;

chinawhite before you pick on mirza and say illicit things in his english, take a look at your own; and that too when its not someone's native language and it is a main language that is studied in all parts of australia

No wonder someone said "practise before you preach" .

.. Answer me this chinawhite..

Give me one chinese media source that has the guts to point out flaws in the country's military or industries in the way the article does above..
Don't give me some vague "measured" responses/articles..
I want something in comparision to what you posted above vis-a-vis India..
Is that because the is NO PERCEIVABLE problem with chinese equipment??!!
I think not!!

The link you gave.. THATS called freedom of speech and press!!
China is v far from achieving that..
