russiankid, the least you can do is go read the links in the previous page about the LCA instead of what you are doing.

and the LCA is not related to the F-35, and i'll be glad to give links to the F-35 if you are in need of some

many third world countries need a good cheap fighter to replace all those crap 3rd gen fighters like the mig-19 mig-21 mirage III and F-5 fighters.

their whole defence budget probaly couldn't pay for one F-35.

heres a LCA

because there are other cheap fighters with the same capabilities

eg. FC-1

cost 10-15million

Su-30

cost $35million

ESTIMATED COST:

(F-35A) $45 million [2004$]
(F-35B) $60 million [2004$]
(F-35C) $55 million [2004$]

Gripen JAS 39
cost- 40million

Well the LCA will be bought by the IAF. There's no doubt about that.
And the Naval version of the LCA will arm India's 4th aircraft carrier, ADS.

I mean the IAF never said that they will not buy the LCA. AT Aero-India, the IAF confirmed the order for 40 LCA's and hase'nt needlessly spoken about it later.

The rest is for reporters to speculate and write stuff to sell thier stuff.

If you read the full article of www.deccanherald.com... properly it says ....but once the IAF places a firm order... and IAF is gearing itself up to cope with perceived delays over the induction of the LCA into squadron service

I mean for the IAF, not buying the LCA is not even an option.

And since it is advertised that its capabilities match that of a Mirage-2000, and considering its low cost and easy maintainability it has significant export potential as well. But first, its pre-production trials should be completed and it should serve for about a year to instill some confidence in its prospective buyers. Besides India's good relationship with the world will also serve as a plus point.

Its present fly-away cost is 21 million $(the ones with the F-117's engine), but efforts are underway to bring it under 18 million $ by replacing the imported parts with Indian parts and the Kaveri engine.

Singapore and Chile have alredy placed oders for India's HAL ALH Dhruv, and the US customs are evaluating it as well. Chile and Brazil has also expressed desire to buy HAL's HJT-36 'Sitara' Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT) .
