From the original video footage my mind says "mylar birthday balloon"
One side would be dark, as we see, with graphics printed on it, the back side would be the shiny material, as we see in the video. The Altitude seems
stuck in one spot, consistant with helium filled baloons. The wind current is obviously having much fun with the object.
I've done catalogs for a balloon company, and they do indeed come in thousands of shapes and sizes.
The flashbacks from those cataloging day memories makes my head spin.
Determining speed via distance from clouds doesn't seem rational, clouds move constantly.
Ok looking at your hi res now, still not very clear.
I was tempted to think it might be one of the solar powered hot air balloons, they gain altitude from the sun heating the air inside them, but this
object doesn't comform to the shape of any of those
I see advertised.
Interesting catch none the less.
Googling "Ufo"+"Manchester" turns up over 187,000 hits, such as this report of a UFO
in or around Worley on Oct. 13 2004.
Who knows, could be something to this.
