Currently in Russia, the air is ripe for revolution. People are restless... their standard of living has gone down dramaticly ever since the fall of
the Soviet Union. Smaller states that achieved independence are also slipping into the hole of dispair.
The people are starting to doubt capitalism and it's ideals. The people want a strong leader, and a strong government to unite them. They are
ashamed of losing power to the US, they are embarassed at their crumbling military. They want to be powerful again... they want to be a superpower
again...
Putin is already laying down his plans for the re-unification of the New Soviet Union. He is rallying old loyal communist supporters... true
communists, not supporters of stalin and his ideals.
He has already reinstated former soviet ranks in the military... and is slowly increasing military spending(true btw).
Riots break out in Smolensk and Odessa... the time is now to take power! The communists already have most of the support of the people... they take
power almost without a shot. All companies are nationalized and the new industrialization of Russia begins. Oil reserves are tapped with new
technology stolen from the Americans. Former soviet states and even eastern european nations are seeking to join the new federation.
The new federation rebuilds it's industries and military with the wealth from its vast rescources. The new federation matches and surpasses the
industrial output of the Western Europeans and the United States.
The two superpowers are now in a second cold war... only this time the new federation is a socialist democracy and not a dictatorship.
Who should or will win?
Na Zdrowie!

50 years.
Sino-neo-Soviet dominance of Asia and Europe, nothing else in the world matters.
PNAC remembered as an agenda that didn't go far enough, chasing just rainbows, with no diplomatic or military understanding behind it at all, driven
by turn-of-the-century fast buck merchant fools.
Ladas everywhere. Vodka. Chinese-produced Levis for Americans.
Ethnic Chinese population no longer 17% of the world's population, now 28%.
And still no chance of regaining any American freedoms removed by Homeland Security / Patriot Acts, at the hands of the Bush administration.

America will win, of course. Your beloved motherland has fallen behind the United States at a staggering pace. Your country has been virtually
bankrupt for the past 50 years. Your technology is stuck in the late 80's, early 90's. I would love to see America wipe the floor with communism
again. Your country has fallen face first in the gutter a number of times. What's one more?

but capitalism hasn't fared much better there so far...so he may have a point.
The Russian people have a lot of nationalism, and aren't happy with the way things are. Sure, they were bad before too, but at least then, they had
the pride of being a superpower. Still, I think that from what I've seen, day to day, they actually are better off now, on average, but simply may
not realize it due to the lost pride factor...*sigh*
I think it's an accurate prediction of what is to come...especially after the next "US Aggression" instance...as it will give the communists a
rallying point....

Russian communism failed miserably. Russia has the potential to become great, to become more powerful again. A socialist democracy? Sorry, but just
like communism, Socialism doesnt work in such a huge country. And as far as the former Republics go, several are trying to join the European Union.
there is hardly any love in those former republics for Russia, as well as Eastern Europe. The Eastern European countries are better off casting thier
luck with the EU.
However, Russia cannot be discounted. If they exploited thier own resources more, and cleaned up the widescale corruption in thier govornment, they
might actually have a shot at things.
Gore grinder, Russia fell because Regan outspent them, We didnt defeat them, no shots were fired. Gorbechev was actually a great leader over there,
far better, I think, than Bush, because ultimately, Gorbechev knew when to give up for the best interests of his own country. We have alot to thank
him for. The Russians werent evil, even though Communism was sick, and still is. They were the most worthy adversaries we have ever had, and we really
suffered more from thier collapse because we were left standing alone, no enemy to keep us on our toes, contained, and progressing. Compettion and
threat do force innovation, progress, and devlopment. Look at the space race.
But I doubt Russia will ever be reunited with the other ethnic republics of the former Union. The central asian republics are too islamic, The Baltics
still brim with hatred and have joined the EU, and the Ukraine and Moldavia: no love lost there. Maybe Belorussia......

Russia is set to play a big part in the EU super state, but i can't see them going back to the Soviet union. EU would be against the idea of Russia
going back to its communist.
i can't see why they would want to go back to their old ways

Personally, I think the world would be a better place if Russia was a superpower again. with them as a significant threat to the US Mr. Bush would
think twice before he ran around War mongering other countries around the world. Presently, there is no reason for bush to hold back, the
repercussions are limited.
You'll notice the US does very little waging of war on their side of the hemisphere (east, west). There is plenty of corruption and disturbanc down
in South America too!

Infinite,
I doubt that very much. I think if you put your finger on the pulse of most other countries you would find that there is very little support for
Bush, especially with respect to his foreign affairs activities. I think most of the world would stay out of it, much like they did with Iraq, but
you would have some very eager middle east countries jumping on the Russian bandwagon. US allies would be Canada (laugh, no military), and the UK.
Possible tipping scale countries would be China, Japan, and Germany.

hmmm thats a very good point. Germany would stay out of it because they have good relations with Russia and good relations with the UK.

Nie nie! Jestem Polskie nie ruskie!
From the stastics I have read, the standard of living in Russia went down ever since the capitalists came. Recently, Russia moved several nuclear
missles near it's western borders. She also still has the largest submarine force in the world. Russia has several weapons that the United States
is only starting to understand. Weapons like the ShKval, a rocket like torpedo that can outrun anything. The Stallion is also another good example;
it is a rocket fired torpedo that activates when it hits the water and is very hard to evade...
Do you really think the European Union is going to let all those poor nations in? They are having trouble accepting Poland. How in the world are
they going to accept nations like the Ukraine and Moldova? The EU is not the place for them... the EU is not going to take them.
What happened decades before was not true communism anyway... perhaps if we tick them off enough they will form again?
Stolichnaya is OK, but I like Spiritus better

Submarines......lets be real here ok.....
The Russian military is crap! You can say your working on this and that....anyone can.
The Russian Navy is virtually moth-balled and rusting. Three quarters of the Air Force is undermanned in serious need of training. The Army is going
through similar problems. All-in-all, very little replacement parts, lack of fuel, supply, monies to pay troops, poor morale, high suicide rates, and
the list goes on. Russia is lacking money. Hence the unprecedented sell of almost anything in the Russian arsenal.
I agree with you that the Russian people are looking to "better days" and the past "former glories," but everything takes time. Russia is a
beautiful nation with friendly people seeking a better life. Russia's nuclear force is nothing to dismiss and remains second only to the US in
numbers of warheads...I think...hehe.
You paint a "pretty picture" but your paint is running mighty thin and the "picture" you are painting is not taking on any recognizable form.
I long for a stronger Russia...I do...but I don't think it will fall under communism again. I may be wrong but time will only tell.
