can you kill aliens with regular guns?

Im just thinking about what to do in case an NWO and alien attack happens, what can we use to defend ourselves. Are assault rifles or any projectile based weaponry useless against them?
Feel free to add your ideas on this.

I don't see where not, their skin shouldn't be hard enough to with stand a bullet.

According to the story on this site, the Delta force were able to kill Greys with their weaponry.

Wait wait wait wait wait..........before you can decide what you are going to use as a weapon against them, you will have to know quite a bit about them. We don't even know if their made from a material we know, never mind wether or not we can damage it physically. If there was a hostile Alien Invasion, we'd find out pretty quickly wether we could hurt them or not.......but until we learn more about them, lots more, anything else is just idle pondering and imagination......

A better question is, why would I want to?

First off, if i actually got the opportunity to meet up with little green men from mars, firearms would be the last thing on my mind. Id wanna know:

A. What the hell are you
B. Where the hell did you come from
C. Why the hell are you here?
D. What the hell are you doing talking to me for?

The guys at area 51 would know if Aliens are bullet proof or not. However, i have little desire to shoot the little green bastards unless they plan on putting me on display in thier intergalatic zoo.

However, if they proved friendly and curious, well, the next question on my mind would be, could you PLEASE take me with you and get me the hell off this stupid inbred retard planet? The chance for intergalatic travel and going to different planets would be jsut too much a temptation to resist.

Earth is boring. Time for me to get the hell out of here, and if I meet the little eggheads who can make it happen, believe me, shooting them is the last thing on my mind.

I agree with Skadi. If we are visited by Aliens, we shouldn't automatically assume they are out to kill us.......that could prove to be a fatal mistake

oh definately, I believe that there are humble aliens out there. I guess we will just have to wait and see about everything.

I think it would depend on whether or not they are in season... Trust me around here if you go hunting when something is not in season ... you lose you license, your guns and are labeled a poacher.

No, I'm just kidding, I guess whether you could or could not kill would depend on if they have "special armor" or "telekenisis" (Misspelled, I am sure).

Even if they were hostile, lets face it: we would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO screwed.

Think about it. Any speices that can bridge time and space, light years, probably has the technology to basically turn the earth into another asteroid belt. Spacecraft with mean klingon type blood thirsty aliens probably have planet busting lasers that they can sit in orbit and fry us all.

Thats why I hope the only aliens who visit earth are either curious, friendly, or apethetic. That is, until we get rayguns and warp engines so we can blast them back if they try.

I'm pretty sure "deez lil gree' men" are not going to be making a move until they are in a position of power, the first moves will be decisive in the battle, but in reality we dont have a chance.

However, if you feel like unloading a shotgun into one then, by all means, have a go at it, they'll probably subject you to a serious proving rather than killing you quickly.

Right. First, being biological organisms one can speculate that they are susceptible to trauma.

Being an advanced species, they no doubt have developed some sort of physical, or better still, non physical (perhaps electromagnetic?)barriers to injury, perhaps like we have kevlar materials.

If it was a colaberation between an alien race and the NWO I think the chances of fighting it would be very limited!

I'd agree that alien contact should not be met with initial violence. Even a peaceful race could be turned violent if you shoot at them. The 'violent' aliens could just be peaceful ones that got pissed off.


As to weather they can be killed by conventional weapons...
I say: empty the magazine and let the Lord decide.

Wel... a million good theories as to how something should work does not equal a single incidence that shows how it does...

There have been many CE3 and CE4 situations where someone tried to shoot at aliens. In all of those situations... at least, in all of the situations that have been thoroughly investigated and shown not to be hoaxes/pranks... guns were either ineffective against aliens (that is, the bullets bounced-off of their bodies or a field that went around them), or they didn't fire in the first place.

Just remember:

NO BATTLE PLAN HAS EVER SURVIVED INITIAL CONTACT!

Yes, they are probably mortal, but that doesn't mean that we can fell them... at least with guns. In theory a man with a crude bow and arrow set can kill a US Marine clothed in Kevlar armor and bearing an assault rifle.. but there will be, in such a war, a 10,000 to 1 kill ratio.

Geeze guys, why're we even considering shooting them when all we have to do is throw water on them and bludgeon them with a bat. SWING AWAY!



I think this question has been broken down into two seperate questions.

1. Can you kill an alien with a gun... if the alien isn't wearing body armor?

2. Can you kill an alien with a gun... if the alien IS wearing body armor?


I'd have to say you could probably put some notches in the butt of your rifel if they're not wearing armor, but if they are, then chances are that a gun isn't going to do anything but piss the little bugger off... just remember, they bite.
