Well, you are the one who bought a dell
J/K. For customer support, Dell ranks first. If you are not pc literate, that is the brand of PC to by.

As far as my rig goes, its all about testosterone and being able to play Half Life 2 at max everything

You should also mention how much you paid! I mean, you can have a great computer, but if you spent more on it then a new car, not worth it.

Me? Uh, let me think, Jeff put it together for me since he knows what to do, but here is what I know, for $240.00, and I can play HL2 very nicely.

COmputer Name: POS(Jeff named it)
User name: Mr. F***(Jeff named it)
Company Name: F***tards of America(Jeff named it)

512 MB DDR2 3200 RAM
80gig Western Digital HD
8x DVD Burner Bottom Bay
52x CD Burner Top Bay
Radeon X300/X550
Celeron CPU 2.53GHz
Windows XP Service Pack 2
No Floppy Drive, they useless nowadays when I can get a blank cd for a nickel.
Optic Mouse
17 inch moniter, not flat, they cost to much
Sound Card(No idea what kind)
A case that opens up by pulling 2 handles and it folds down, but Jeff locked it after I blanked my HD on my last computer
56k Modem
Network card built into Mobo
All that for 240 dollars.

Just got a 160gig external HD for 30 bucks cause the case was cracked on the side. I am cheap so the cheaper it is the better.

I read some of these, and all I think of is Grand, Grand, Grand and a half, more then that, and that is insane. It's like "Hmmm, new car, computer, new house, computer, paying off the National Debt, computer" and choosing computer.

Intel Extreme 2 Integrated Graphics with 64MB Shared Memory
v.92 56Kbps Modem and 10/100 Ethernet
Six USB 2.0 Ports and Three PCI Slots
Dell E773c 17" CRT Monitor

This may sound expensive, but check this out.

CPU 160$
Mobo 30$
DVD drive 80$
Video card 300$
Sound card free
Speakers Free
Case Free
Power Supply Free
Card Reader Free
RAM Free
Kensington gamers Keyboard and opticle mouse...... You guessed it. FREE!
80 and 120 gb HD's FREE
Fans Free

So I basically have about 600$ in my system. BTW, everything I got for free was brand new and still in the box. Better yet, it wasnt even hot! I have a friend here (Misfit) who lives fairly close to me. He has been the reciepient of MANY free things I get that I dont have room to keep

Some of the things sitting around not being used:

4 ATI 9250 graphics cards
Power supplies 300 watts to 500 watts
External drive bays
DVD burners
2 cases
Fans out the booty
Over 300 blank DVDs and CDs
I cant even begin to count the games

And much more.....

Anyone else live close to Louisville and need some PC stuff? Drop on by and I'll load you up

Built mine from parts I got out of dumpsters, no fricking kidding. Now, what do I mean? Computer stores throw out computer parts, so I get them and use them or sell them.

1.4GHz Proc
2 256 Ram Sticks, think they 2700, not sure.
Case that I painted with all kinds of stuff, mainly stick figures being raped in prison or dieing some sort of way.
I think ATI 5500, or is it Radeon? Not sure since it didn't have a box.
sound card
120gig HD. It didn't work, but was still under warrenty, so I sent it to the company and they sent me one that worked
DvD Burner 4x
Floppy Drive
Zip Drive
Network Card
56k Modem
Bunch of fans since I had them, so I just put them everywhere
330 whatever Power Supply
15.2 inch(according to Everest) moniter, not flat screen, had one, but sold it for 80 dollars.(it was a 17 inch if I remember correctly)
Optical mouse
Wireless Keyboard

All for about 30-40 dollars. Gas costs money, and needed to replace a tire when I hit a curb really hard. Of course, tire cost 5 dollars since I went to a junkyard. I am cheap, so sue me.
