BA suspends flights to Saudi Arabia

British Airways has suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia until further notice in response to a specific terrorist threat to its planes in the country.

The threat became apparent in the last 24 hours but is not thought to be related to the missile arrests in the US, said BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner.

Especially with BA having lost so much money recently! Think we need to keep an eye on this one!!!

True. BA intelligence is usually almost uncanny. Last time they cancelled flights to Kenya and some time later RPGs were discovered in Mombasa to be used in some plot.

Warnings after Saudi 'air threat'

Air travellers from the United States and Britain have been alerted to the possibility of attack if they go to Saudi Arabia.

The alerts came after intelligence reports were relayed to Washington and London by the Saudis of a specific threat to British airlines flying in or out of Riyadh international airport

This is an update on the story.As we come up to the anniversary of Sept 11th, we could see another attack. US and UK are preparing for another attack. We could see both countries go into high alert.UK is still believed to be the next target and london police have been told to "shoot to kill" if they suspect a suicide attack. I'll keep you posted on this.

Its pretty scarey, This shoot to kill stuff.
What happens if your standing near that person!
Have our police had enough experience in this sort of situation.
Also dont the bombers normaly have a detination device in the hands, like a button os something!!!
