the CIA is, as everyone knows, top secret about all of there 'non existant' projects, investigations ect ect. BUT. ive been thinking to my self, what do they realy do? i know what every one said about their joint projects with the USAF and their most obvious relation to almost every conspisicyinvolving the USA. though still dont know what there spacific goal is. it can't be domestic because the FBI should deal with this.
most international problems have been resolved by the millitary attacking said country. are the CIA just one big load of cover-up specialists? 'cause thats all ive been hearing of them since i first came across this site 5 years ago!

-have i missed something in the vast arcives of posts, threads and topics that is the ATS?

-did the CIA spawn from the, still debated 'roswell incident'?

-are there CIA opertives working in foreign countries that we (the western civilization) didn't even know posed any type of thret at all?

who knows?......is it you?

[p.s. this was said on the CIA site under FAQs----Does the CIA spy on Americans? Does it keep a file on you?

By law, the CIA is specifically prohibited from collecting foreign intelligence concerning the domestic activities of US citizens.]

yea right!!!!

here's the link www.cia.gov...

you can do searches on FAQ and find all kinds of cool stuff.

I have one family member and one friend who work in the CIA.

They pretty much go to work, travel, gather info, report back. It the Central INTELLIGENCE Agency, so they gather intelligence then generate reports for various government bodies and peoples including the elected government and the military.

The CIA is secretive so that the US can gather information and the people who do it can still live normal lives.

well it realy depends on what branch they're on in the mighty redwood of the CIA.
if you, or any one else, are given the chance to look down every allyway of the CIA, you would find that there is more to it than just intelegence.

I think the CIA must evade answering anything..perhap's being due to a Presidential matter to disclose or not.
I may be wrong here but as soon as it even comes close to hush words National Security then all lips are sealed from that area of Government.

I dunno?, it kind of makes sense to me..

or misintelligence, unintelligence, anti-intelligence, psudo-intelligence...

I bet you 95% of the people that do work there are upstanding americans but the 5% that are rotten to the core are connected with the other 5%s in all other branches of government that are rotten to the core... Cosa Nostra anybody?

5% sounds pretty small. but the CIA must employ quite a number of people, mabey around 20,000. so at most the number of 'rotten to the core' employes would be at most 1,000.
thats still enough to threaten the world.
