Don't these stories make you sick? We can all name more than a few.

Whats wrong with the world now? Didn't we say before that crime doesn't pay?

Examples of using crime to profit.

The newest example I can think of is the "runaway bride"

One woman broke the law. The other helped catch a suspected killer. Both are selling their stories and could make millions in the process. Representatives of Ashley Smith — whose 911 call led police to courthouse shootings suspect Brian Nichols — and runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks made deals for their stories with publishing houses in the past week.

news.yahoo.com...

She deserves to be hit with countless lawsuits. And I believe there will be many against her. She deserves everyone of them.

What about the whole martha stewart thing? Go to jail, get out, bingo more TV shows !

How many criminals write books etc about there crimes etc? Should this be allowed? They are profiting from a crime.

It seems the only way to "get rich quick" is good ole crime.

Gotta love the world we live in.

Well, yeah. Crime sells well. Why do you think The Soparanos was so popular? It's disgusting the lengths people go to with these sorts of things, but the heart of it isn't so bad - it can be good tv/entertainment if done right.

Crime doesn't pay?
Reality check time.

Get rich quick is a great scheme to sell to other people, what do you think pays for all those endless infomercials?

You get rich [$375.00 at a time] and they get some glossy brochures and a CD.

What do you think Wall Street is built on?
Get rich quick without having to work at it.
There again the hucksters rake in the cash [often lowtax or taxfree] and you take it in the shorts.

White collar crime is what all those pillars of the community live on.

At least the people you note are actually having to write a book for their money.

Crime pays until you get caught.

What's illegal about this? Just sneaky. Same as the lottery.

That's not a crime. Manipulation of money is a very valuable enterprise. White collar crime is NOT what we're built upon.
