my vote goes to A,C,I,and K. In colorado, crips are everywhere. There is also a ms 13 gang in denver, the capitol. Al queda opertives coming in through mexico is on bill o reilly every day. That nut in pyangong (forgive my spelling) must go. America is being rotted from inside out with violence, porn, and it comes in a condensed form otherwise known as rap.

Of the real threats:

1) asteroid strike;
2) supervolcanic eruptions;
3) gamma ray burst;
4) evolution of an isolationist, conservative police-state;
5) pollution.

Solution: education and action.

Specifically: a serious effort towards solar system colonization, controlled underground venting of supervolcanic magma chambers, green technology-

and open, participatory, co-operative government based upon the common good without fear.

N. None of the above

Bird flu is the biggest threat to the US. The 1918 pandemic killed more Americans than all the wars combined.

I would say illegal immigration and our own people which is not one of your choices. We keep second guessing our self's and shooting ourselves in the foot because some Americans care more about the terrorists than this country.

A constant fixation with threats is bound to create violence. What happens when the homeland is safe? Will we ever stop thinking of possible aggressors?

I really think that framing geopolitics in terms of threats and danger has a tendency to shape our policies and create the very monsters we set out to destroy.

If this is a new or crazy thought to you, then you should try reading some books like these.

International Theory: Critical Investigations by James Der Derian

New Thinking in International Relations Theory by Michael W. Doyle, G. John Ikenberry

Ways of War and Peace: Realism, Liberalism, and Socialism by Michael W. Doyle

Exactly. BECAUSE "they" (those now in position to fix elections) have become TOO POWERFUL.

Peace

Not on your list, but I think our greatest danger comes from within. It's name is the PATRIOT ACT. In just a few short years our freedoms and individual rights have been taken or given up for the "common good" and many seem to want this. It scares me. It tends to make all the lives and blood sacrificed in the past couple hundred years almost worthless. The majority of us may not see much change yet, but the groundwork has been laid.
The Patriot act is a cancer that will destroy America as we knew it. Unfortunately, it has been welcomed by far too many.

The US government will do more harm to the US people and the rest of the world than any terrorist could dream of.

What is the greatest threat to the u.s. homeland?

The RCMP, yup you heard right. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Seriously, I think it will be McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell and all the other fast food places out there that make Americans so fat and nasty.

Health is the greatest threat to the US homeland. IMO

Technically it was never in the hands of the American people. We are a representative democracy, not a true democracy.
