Gay hero?

Actually I think it accomplished exactly what it set out to do -- to get people talking. It catches you eye makes most people go "huh" and then read what the plaque represented. We have all learned something about the history of the area that the statue is in and the life of the man the statue is of.

And like I said earlier -- when I initially saw it I went "What the ..." then I read the information on what the plaque showed in actuality and I was amused at my initial reaction. And was glad that no on knew what dirty little mind I guess I have -- and here I am confessing it for all to see

btw -- I love the Det. Colombo reference -- I could picture it exactly

There's no issue here I can see apart from the ignorance & bigotry of some people.

Seen much more explicit imagery in many places in the UK
