Browsing through this section (which I've only lately discovered), it seems as though there are quite a few musicians and performers.

If you're in a band, tell us about it - it might be fun!

OK, I'm a percussionist in a couple of bands. I don't play a drum kit - I play congas, bongos, blocks, bells, chimes, hand percussion, electronic percussion (Roland SPD-S), etc.

One of my bands is very casual and only plays out occaisionally - we play the usual assortment of rock and R&B covers.

My other band is much more serious. We play only Talking Heads covers and we play them with a high degree of authenticity. This band will dis-band soon, though. We've been playing out for about a year and we're still amazed at the reception we've been getting. Who knew there were so many Talking Heads fans born after Stop Making Sense?!

I've got bunches of pics of our band on: aldavison.net but they aren't thumbnailed or anything - just a list of jpg files.

what about you?

OK, I'm embarrassed.

Thanks for clueing me in.

Please don't post any more to this thread to help me avoid looking any more like a wanker than I already do.

Thanks.
