I don't think that they "found" one, but maybe they did, they probally built a device to hold a wormhole and open it in a safe location. Then when they arrived they built another one to go to other worlds.
What I'm syaing is with 1 Device you can go anywhere, but once you get their you must build or use another to get back/to another world.
If it is indeed possible we'd have heard about it by now for sure, they'd keep it secret, but think how deadly it could be used in wars:
eg:
Russia build one and send nukes through to the US one, US retaliate by sending nukes back, maybe for our own safety they're keeping them secret.

And if they do exist, then someone should be able to build another backed by private funding!

the stargate is a fabrication putting myths together, like Marvel's Thor comic books.

if anything, the stargate designers (i mean the hollywood ones) might have done a little bit of research on the "stargate like structures" and used them as their inspiration.

If there was a Stargate and it has been found I think it would be in US hands and if there is a Stargate and it hasn't been found i think it would still be in Egypt somewhere. If there is no stargate on earth im sure there are some on other worlds.

Wormholes are the most logically way of space travel and definitely the most efficient and i think that would be apparent to other intelligent lifeforms aswell. If other intelligent lifeforms can travel light years by craft I think if it would be possible that they have figured out a way to travel through a wormhole.

Wormholes are the fastest way to travel from point A to point B, it's like your flying around a blackhole, if you could use wormholes the fatsest way would be go go through the blackhole.
I know it wouldn't really work because you'd be sucked into the blackhole, but it's an example!It would either be with USA or Russia, and yes the most likely place to find one would either be:
Egypt [Egyptians]
Centeral America [Mayans/Aztecs]

In a Mayan temple, you can see a person operating a vehicle with lots of levers and contorls [space craft].

But Germans don't have capable forces to even hide it. If they started hiding stuff in mountains and guarding it, then UN would become interested because they aren't allowed to hide stuff because of WW2, that's why their are a dozen or so UK and US army/air force camps all over Germany!
