The United States, European Union and Australia have called for more IAEA nuclear inspections of Saudi Arabia's nuclear programmes. The Kingdom has
been exploiting an IAEA loophole that allows for programmes using up to 10 tonnes of natural Uranium to go undeclared to the nuclear watchdog agency.
The calls come just before a key meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

VIENNA, Austria - The United States, Europe and Australia are joining forces in an unusually stark reflection of international concern in urging
Saudi Arabia to allow nuclear inspectors in the kingdom before a key meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency, officials said Friday.
Diplomats accredited to the agency and European officials told The Associated Press that both the European Union and Australia will send formal
diplomatic notes to the Saudi government this weekend asking it to consider allowing in the IAEA inspectors.
Washington already has done so, but its chief delegate to Monday's IAEA board meeting, Jackie Sanders, will renew the request at a weekend meeting in
Vienna with her Saudi counterpart, said the diplomats and officials, who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media on
such issues.

This came well out of left field for me. I had no idea the Saudi Arabians were suspected to be pursuing a nuclear weapons programme. But with the
ties to the Kingdom between Iraq's suspected nuclear programme and the chief Pakistani nuclear weapon proliferate, A.Q Khan, as well as their
interests in purchasing nuclear capable missiles from Pakistan the writing is on the wall.
Well as clearly as the suspected Iranian nuclear programme is.
Can we expect to see the Saudi Arabians to be refered to the UNSC for sanctions if they do not allow these inspections?
