I apologize.....my response was meant to be sarcasm, which isn't clear.....I agree with you.....

Oh I got it was, it made me laugh mate. Didn't mean to come off as a shot at you if it did? I just dislike the way things are set up to benefit the Elite.

Yes. The point is that, the current level of education of the population as opposed to those involved in government research, almost regardless of the field, is very different. If the popular mediums of America(my reference point) can be used to assert anything, it's that the population is being exposed to mostly social gossip and issues that center on the ethics and various philisophical dogmas. This doesn't seem like anything important right off, but it is..........not to say that ethics are unimpoirtant, but the perpetual reasoning of whether it's right or wrong with most of the supporting logic being derived religious and philisophical standards doesn't usually include the details of a subject.

For example: The debates centered around stem cell research........the majority of people are familiar with the "should we or should we not" arguements as it relates to abortion and the morality of it.........the specifics of the science are kept out of the discussion because it could lead to a more informed opinion, a rush for actual knowledge when those previously unaware realize the implications, and a reconsideration of morals and ethics........stem cell reseach is a physical world manipulation and the powers that be are going to understand it regardless of the moral stance of the average joe.......

Not that I'm against a more lucid public, I am just concerned with the rate of disclosure, should it occur. I think alot of people would encounter future shock if all secret documents were publisized

Yeah, I really want to push for a society of people who know what is going on about them. I am a big fan of Direct Democracy and hope one day the world will be ruled by people who do what the people want instead of what is going on now.

Good post, like how you've explained it and in some respects I agree. At present we are not educating people in the right way and just turning them into "Worker Bees" those who become "educated" tend to be those who are more part of the problem then the solution and those who try to solve it end up dead or as un-patriotic.

No problem......I'm completely willing to take responsibility for my own clarity

I also have a problem with how things are set up and my opinion, really at this point, is to learn as much as possible so as to be better prepared.....for what, I'm not sure, but my indignancy at all the inconsistancies I have percieved is really only assuaged by my own efforts at 'self-education'.....

Here, here. It's a great aspiration and one that I share.......

Hello all.. I don't have alotta time (I'm at work right now), but I just wanted to address some of your comments..

As far as former presidents getting filled in.. They all have secret service protection and they get briefed on security. It's the lifers club. I'm not sure who instituted it. Could have been Bush Sr. since he was head of the CIA back in the day.

Regarding the money thing I mentioned.. I was talking about how elected officials who've spent many years in office have these giant war chests for campaigns. The incumbant always has far more power in that sense than the challenger. It's ridiculous.

I was watching the Libertarian candidates give their pitch on public tv one day and was very impressed. It's a damn shame they aren't allowed, or can't afford the same visibility as their fellow Republicrats!

On MLK King's death.. I don't think the CIA had anything to do with that. That's more an FBI thang. They were surveilling & menacing alotta folks back then and infiltrating certain groups. If you wanna look into it, check out COINTELPRO. The Church Commission (late '70's ) brought a lot of that crap out into the open & put the brakes on much of it.
