I think it's pretty funny that this word turned up at dictionary.com and on chat/message boards all over the world, frankly, I started this acronym, but it's quite possible that others invented it as well.
Well, i'm pretty sure I was the first, I was like: "As far as I know" is such a long sentence, let's abrieviate it! internet style, at first everyone asked me, WTF IS AFAIK? and I told them, a few years later it was all over the net!
Am I being dellusional or did I invent this thing? how long does it exist?
