Apparently a new technology, known as multispectral imaging is reavealing writing on texts that have been damaged over time:

So far, some new Christian gospels and lost texts from Sophocles and Euripides have been found, among other things. Oxford University seems to be doing the bulk of the research. This is work that is going to revolutionize several academic disciplines!

It'll be great to see what they've found. let's just hope that it won't take an extremely long time for the pieces to be published.
