Asteroid impact vs. Sediment cores - "Mortal wound" for the Yucatan Chicxulub theory

A team led by palaeontologist Gerta Keller of Princeton University, New Jersey, reported that a sediment core drilled in east Texas emphatically confirms a study that the group released two years ago. Sediments of glass sprayed out by the Chicxulub impact are separated from fossils killed during the mass extinction by a 300,000-year gap, they argue.
"I believe this is the mortal wound for the Chicxulub theory," says Keller. Scientists should mount a search for the crater left by the meteorite that was really responsible for the mass extinction, she adds.

Translation
Only an audience of totally brainwashed sheeple explains that it was possible to add the Mexican impact theory (1) as late as 1982, as a last hoax or feeding tube to keep evolution theory alive.

The "Nature" article, is among the best examples to illustrate the current and terminal cover-up phase (2):
- like in other compatibility cases (for instance with ice age theory), one simple core is enough to expose it ;
- Gerta de Keller, the paleontologist exposing it, uses the same trick as the directors of "ammonite fossils in Mount Everest" (3) to escape censorship. This is why "300,000 years" as well as "proof of some (earlier) impact" must be added, otherwise this could not be published by a brainwash central as "Nature".

It also illustrates very well the desperate situation of the hoaxers during the terminal cover-up phase, as they know that it's not planned to stage the evolution hoax much longer (4):
- starting with the fact that they did publish it;
- they give the codes of the value of "more conclusive" proof to dismiss the current theory of how the dinosaurs were wiped off the face of the earth: price is US$40,000 and urgency is "to drill another core in autumn 2006". This confirms that it now is a question of digging in again whatever was digged out, from cores to fossils - confirming the dinosaur cover-up phase.

- the end of the "Piltdown man hoax" phase is illustrated by the total disarray of "geophysicists" who "remain unswayed". They ran out of hoaxes, so they don't bother anymore to replace the hoax to let evolution theory adapt: "Gullick, of the University of Texas at Austin doubts the report because it means another huge asteroid must have hit the Earth in the same era, about 65 million years ago. "The odds of that are highly unlikely," said Gulick, who chaired the Chicxulub symposium at the conference.

(2)- Dinosaurs - the largest cover-up ever in Natural History - censoring sediment cores is also a cover-up for the real reason of the extinction of the dinosaurs, but this one that I am exposing here is much greater. It also provides the key to expose all other hoaxes still alive, created during the hoax phase, to keep evolution theory alive. Starting with plate tectonics.

This is a spat that's been going on for a number of years now:

Scientist A says my theory is right
Scientist B says no, my theory is right
So Scientist A then tries to disprove Scientist B's theory.....

And all the while, they were both right - it was a combination of the 2.

I forget now what Keller's theory is, but It's a bit sad that she's spending all this time and money not in proving her theory, but in dispproving Alvarez's impact theory.

You misread the article.

It says that Keller's finding suggests (hasn't been confirmed) that ANOTHER asteroid as big as Chicxulub hit the Earth within a million years of Chicxulub. There's no evidence so far of that other crater. To quote from the article you point to:

Many geophysicists remain unswayed. Sean Gulick of the University of Texas at Austin doubts the report because it means another huge asteroid must have hit the Earth in the same era, about 65 million years ago. "The odds of that are highly unlikely," said Gulick, who chaired the Chicxulub symposium at the conference.

This is the gist of what Keller is saying. All that's in question is the agent that caused the extinction of dinos some 65 million years ago.

Your notion that the Chicxulub theory is the only thing keeping evolutionary theory alive is not correct. The asteroid impact is not a part of evolutionary theory. It is merely an explaination of why so many species died within a single period of 100,000 years or so.

Byrd is totally right.

The general consensus in the geological community at the moment is that the impact of an asetroid 65Ma was not the sole factor behind the extinction of the dinosaurs.

At the same time the Deccan traps in india were forming, this was an area of unparelled volcanic activity were hundreds of millions of basaltic lava was spewed out in a relativly short time.
They cover and area of roughly 200,000 square miles (500,000 square km). To give you some perspective if you combinde the state of oregon and washington this is about the same size. This amount of volcanic activity would have also released a very large amount of what people often refer to as greenhouse gases, and in turn is thought to have changed the climate.

The combination of the deccan traps, the impact of an asteroid, all within a relativly short geological time scale changed the eviroment so much that the dinosours could not evolve quickly enough to adapt and died out.

MattMarriot: I must say that I find you post very hard to follow, with all due respect it seems like an unstructured rant. Can you please try and set your ideas and views out in a clear and concise way.

As far as I can see you think the theory of evolution is wrong. The arguement you have put forward by keller etc does not support this theory, it actually supports it as it shows that if an enviroment changes very quickly, certain animals to not have time to evolve.

And, would you please stop with your annoying habit of starting everything out with "Only a brainwashed humming bird with the brain of a gnat would fail to see....."?

The script was repeated in 2006. The name changed from "Aussie Bloke" to "Eric Julien", and the extraterrestrial body from an asteroid to a comet.

BTW, the impact is a hoax but this time the comet isn't. And you should know what the meaning of Schwassmann-Wachmann is...
