Your Rights & My Rights Are Being Taken Away! The Bill of Rights used to mean something. It used to be the signal to the world that we, Americans were not going to be subjects for any court. That we were a new nation a more perfect nation. Now the words are historic relics of a time past. I want you all to RE-READ the Bill of Rights before its too late and they are gone.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Didn't the government make some churches remove their outdoors mangor this past christmas season? Abridging the freedom of speech is pretty obvious and has been goin on since the Vietnam War. The right of people peaceably to assemble - What happened in Waco? Petition the govt? whats that going to do?

Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

A well regulated militia, weren't they made an enemy of the state?

Amendment III
No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

ok this was a big problem in England when we were writing this document ... i don't think its usefull anymore ... but its just about the only right that you have left.

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Illegal Search is taking place all over the country. The New Seatbelt Law in America is being used to stop and search any driver not wearing their seatbelt, furthermore If you do not have your papers you are subject to about $500 fine and possible jailtime. The Patriot Act Also takes away this right, not just if you are a terrorist!

Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Ok for US citizens this one has been ok. But look at the "enemy combatants" they do not have the Fifth on their side at all. And don't forget some so called enemy combatants are US citizens. And the description of enemy combatant is very very broad, and could be used to include you.

Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Not bad, besides the enemy combatants this one is still intact.

Amendment VII
In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Blah, blah, blah. nothing to see here.

Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

HR-1528. Putting recreational drug users in jail for life without parole is CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT.

Amendment IX
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Did you read that! I want my rights back!

Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

The powers that this constitution DOES NOT GIVE THE GOVT. are reserved to the STATES...or to the PEOPLE! And the GOVT uses this Amendment to EXTEND THEIR POWERS !!! This isn't an elastic clause people, wake up!

You have 4 out of the 10 Bill of Rights still left.
