Secret Base near Molalla, Oregon

I am a resident of Silverton, Oregon near Molalla. I am a frequent visitor to the 44000 acre Santiam State Forest near Molalla and also to the Bureau of Land Management Recreation area along the Molalla River. There are Oregon Army National Guard helicopter landing areas in both of those areas. they are used for both firefighting and military training. I have often seen Army National Guard Blackhawks ( UH-60Q) models practicing hooking up a Bambi bucket ( firefighting bucket) and other training evolutions in that area.
Also because these landing zones are large cleared areas, they are frequently used a shooting ranges by local people. Quite a few of these folks are into the "military: look. Heck, I see women wearing camo clothing to the supermarket!
I would consider either of the above scenarios as possible explanations, also the marijuana growers.
I personally never go into that forest area without my shotgun, and it's not for the wildlife.
