The photo was taken by Gary Shultz. He was at the black mailbox facing west, after sunset. The saucer was departing to the north.

"Facing west, after sunset" would mean that any real craft in the sky would be illuminated from behind (if at all), and should therefore be
dark against a possibly still somewhat light sky (depending on how long after sunset the photo was taken).
However, this is not what appears in the photo. The "saucer" is much brighter than the background! How is it illuminated? In fact, the whole
"saucer like" look of the alleged object is because of its apparent(!) illumination from the top left, i.e. from a sun in the south.
=> This doesn't add up! Could you please explain these inconsistencies?
Regards
yf

The dark blue color of the sky in the photograph would suggest this could have been taken at night. How long after sunset are we talking about 1 1/2 -
2 hours? More?
Respectfully,
Tim

No, if you take a picture at night the sky is black, dark black.
If you take a picture after sunset like 30 or 40 minutes the sky on the film is dark blue.

True!
I have to admit you are 100% correct, John. The sky is in fact back at night, not blue as I suggested in my last post. I think I confused the point
when the sun first disappears behind the horizon, with the later part of sunset. Perhaps Dusk might be a better word than night.
Respectfully,
Tim

how did you get these.
I studied the pictures and I can say that I don't know if those are from inside area 51, but I would be very interested in knowing how you managed to
get hold of such pictures. You can email me at expertpaintballer@yahoo.com. I will look forward to your reply.

You have to zoom in really slowly using Flashearth, or it will jump on you. I just tried looking at Groom Lake and had no problems. However, the area
does have a maximum zoom level. When I tried to go closer, I got a picture of one of thoes circles with a line through it that means forbidden.

hey guys im pretty new to this whole thing. but i have fond fasination wth area 51 and ufo and the likes. the other day i took a notion to look at
area 51 through the eyes of maps.google.com a supposed liter version of google. hours of scanning the landscape i came across a few interesting
formations located in and around the supposeed area51 base and the nellis air force base grounds. below is a few of the shots i came across they are
in jpeg fom:
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i228.photobucket.com...
i apologise in advance for not getting the cordinates for these snapshots. using google maps doesnt have the same functions as earth. the last few
are interesting as its a lone building located far out from any other of the buildings located on the nellis base. also i ahve notice that these
strange formation tend to occur in the flatter parts of the canyon in the dry lake areas. is there a reason for this im not sure??
im putting this up because what i have here could be quite frankly a load of crap and could simply be weather formations or natural pheneoma?? you
guys be the judge. my reasoning is that it def not weather, the shapes are to perfect in some of the cases, and also resemble shapes of "so called
crop circles" coincedence?? hmmmmmm???

Most of these photos show bombing and gunnery targets on the Nevada Test and Training Range. These are used during exercises such as Red Flag. Some
of the targets include derelict vehicles (trucks, tanks, etc.). You will also find simulated airfields and missile sites.
Without knowing the location of the small building complex, I couldn't tell you what it is for sure. There are many tracking and communications
sites throughout the range.

It's either water, deicing fluid, or fire suppression foam. Maybe an airplane underwent deicing on the taxiway. Perhaps an airplane caught fire.
There do not appear to be any service vehicles of fire trucks nearby and the airplane is no longer on the taxiway.
