Modern fighter engagments are not about dog-fighting its about BVR and who has the best radar which the f-22 wins hands down.

I remember reading books from the 80s, and one of their main predictions was a return to dogfighting, with thrust vectoring and short range missiles. I guess we're still waiting for it to happen.

the f22 would win agaisnt all of them EF its not even close and the russians arent even in production correct?

j10 would change a .005sec chance!

I think the F/A-22 is more maneuverable than the USAF lets on. It's at least as manuverable as an F-15 but with thrust vectoring up to 20 degrees, both up and down.

It's very possible... But the vidofotage says something different... Might be I'am wrong...

I watched a program the other night called beyond tommorow stating that the F-22 is the most manouvable aircraft ever built .
I dont know but maybe

well video photoage can be misleading I doubt that they would allow its full power to be know before it actually enters combat, only after its been used in combat a 100 times and the enemy know how deadly it is thats when you let it out how deadly.

That's true... The F/A 18 Hornet is now one of the best fighters and they started to develop it in the ate 1970...

The latest update on the EF Typhoon, Tranch 4 or what not will have a 3D thrust vectoring engine, however there are some comments about them not having a cannon in there but just a deadweight but I dunno if it's nothing more than a rumour or not.

so in that case the Typhoon might have the advantage, in BVR combat, the Typhoon might also have an advantage since it will use the BVRAAM, but that all depends if it has the F-22 on radar or not, the F/A-22 is an excellent aircraft, but it's too hard to judge on what's better since none are combat proven.

The F(/A)-35A/C is definitly more specialized in ground attack, so it will score the lowest in air to air combat even though it's an excellent aircraft and the V/STOL variant might have unique advantages in air combat but it sounds like it wont be able to hover inflight, but I am not too sure.

The Su-47 is an interesting design but not an aircraft that will see any combat, but it probably would be an excellent dogfighter and an even greater ground attack aircraft...IMO

Those were very wise words... I thank you for you comments. You really helped me to get a real picture of the planes advantages and dissadvantages...

From the Eurofighter website (unofficial):

At supersonic velocities (Mach 1.6 and 36,000ft) the sustained turn rate of the Eurofighter betters all but the F-22, while its instantaneous turn rate is superior to the F-22. At low altitudes, Eurofighter can accelerate from 200kts to Mach 1.0 in under 30 seconds. In a similar vain to its supersonic performance, the sustained and instantaneous subsonic turn rates of the Eurofighter are bettered only by the F-22

It clearly says the F-22 is more maneuvrable at subsonic speed. The dogfights take place at subsonic speeds.

the eurofighter looks like such old tech design to me, like something that was drawn up in the early 80's dragged, halted and restarted in the 90's to be finally built in 2000's, it me it looks like nothing more than an improved f16.

the f22 hands down wins but lets see what they both can do in war time first pinning the ribbon on the winner.

Aircraft should never be judged by looks, the Typhoon is one of the most advanced aircraft out there, it doesn't use much stealth technology, but that choice might have been because of several factors like costs and the actual usefulness of stealth in the future is uncertain since stealth will be able to be detected just as easilly as regular aircraft.

and when the EJ-200 engines are fitted with 3D TVC, the performance might be increased substaintialy.

Eurofighter vs. X-35 and F-22

I think thats crap, you cant compare them, EF2000 is already in use, while X-35 and F-22 are still in development, so of course, its propably that a TO BE plane is better than an already used one...

Well, that's also true...
We'll just have to see them in combat to see wich plan is better...

Thats because it was drawn up in the 80s. All the countries involved fought so much it took much longer for the fighter to finally reach service.

F22 or 35 against the Eurofighter? Bad examples!!

Id like to see the Eurofighter take an F16, let alone an F15 or F14.

Your question is like pitting a 1980 Ford Escort vs a 2005 Dodge Viper.

Not in my opinnion... The EF 2000 and the F-22/X-35 are modern (newest) fighters... The F-14, F15, F16 are good but not in the same age class... It's like comparing a mercedes with a Frerrari...

I was watching a show on the F/A-22 Raptor and the project manager that develop the Raptor said the USAF asked them that the ATF a.k.a. F/A-22 has at least the same maneuver cababilties of the F-15. The project manager said we wanted the ATF to be more maneuverable than the F-15 so we designed it that way. The F/A-22 Is defiantly more maneuverable than the USAF lets on.

It has Super cruise, stealth, advanced tech, the best radar, maneuverability, and the best USAF missiles. The EF just cant be compared with it its not a fair match up.

I too would have to say the EF should be compared with the F-15 or F-14.

The Typhoon is equal IMO to the F-35, the RAF has some of americas best missiles, because we are allies with them...
