UFO changes colour?!?!?!

Last night i was on the south coast of England. I layed down on the pebbles of the beach for a while and looked up at the clear sky. I noticed a what i first thought a meteor to flash across the sky. It went as quick as a shooting star does however one strange thing about it was it changed colours as it shot across the sky. Is this a UFO or can anyone here explain to me what it might have been?

There are a variety of things that can make a meteor change color, especially considering what it's made of... Different materials causing different colors when meeting the heat of the atmosphere...

If it's travel path resembled a meteor, that's more than likely your explanation...

Different temperatures also cause different colors, but I can't say meteors often do that.

it shot across the sky as quick as a normal meteor... but it changed colours from green to red and then to blue i think. Happened very quickly but im sure it did change colours fast.

Just that the simplest reasons are usually the right ones....
