In theory it might be possible.

I suspect that organisms that could do this would probably have to be designed.
They would probably have to have some tiny rigid frame to hang an every changing/learning neural network type structure on.
Also getting refined input sensory data, like an eye or ear would be tricky.
I doubt you could do it in a single cell [but that could just be the limit of my imagination.]

By putting a tiny neural system inside each cell they could link up and make a pretty complex structure with only a small number of cells. I don't know if you could create a tiny eye or ear in a single cell. With the shrinking microelectronics/devices though, maybe it would be possible to create an organic version.

In my imagination I always assume the real supermind aliens are micro tiny. When you start playing around with additional dimensions scale may become completely relative.
Have you ever heard stories of really tiny UFOs? I think those are the guys that know what is going on.

yeah thats wut i meant...that aliens could be tiny..maybe not microscopic but why not.....i dont think why most ppl assume that aliens would be around our size...who knows maybe theres a planet the size of my car somewhere out there with lil aliens...wouldnt that be great...a pocket size alien!

Then you'd mean an asteroid, and it wouldn't be big enough to have an atmosphere.

Yes their could be microscopic life out their somewhere, and their is deifnetly microscopic life here on Earth.

Intelligence takes brains, and brains take up space.
If there were intelligent microscopic life, their brains would not be microscopic.
Maybe with all this new genetical engineerization we could create a tiny little bug with a massive human brain sticking out.. a big bubble with itty bitty legs.. lol.
