Prophet Yahweh (Ramon Watkins) "UFO-caller" phenomenon in Las Vegas (index of threads)

Ths guy has thrown me off the UFOs and Aliens forum for a couple of days because theres so many threads and it got me all confused. At least we can now have a wee bit more organisation now, heck this guy needs his own forum!!!

Procedural question for the mods:

IF a spaceship should appear over Las Vegas between June 1st and July 15th (but especially on the 1st) should the first member who comes across the story start a new thread, add the info to an old one, or bring it here?

I'm asking because I know that people want to bring the number of threads back to a manageable level... but, personally, I think that the appearance of a large UFO over LV -- in accordance with some of PY's predictions -- is a big enough event to warrant its own thread.

every so many hours i check for new (released within a few hours) news story concerning prophet yahweh. I put them all in my prophet yahweh exposed thread.


I would not care if my thread was merged with another, just providing some service for members.

First I'd like to say that I think the Prophet probably isnt' for real, but we've got to give him a chance. He has a month.

Now...you know that even if there was a massive ID-4ish UFO hovering over a major city alot of people would still say it was a hoax. Especially the CSICOP crowd. Thing would convince them, even a archetypical UFO landing on the White House lawn event. I can imagine Michael Shermer coming up with some elaborate explaination involving swamp gas reflecting of a thermal inversion causing mass hallucinations.

You have to give the guy a little credit I guess. At least he didn't pick a date that was like 10 years in the future.

Well it seems that he claims that since 1979 he has been summoning more than 1,500 UFOs, but why we have not seen or heard anything about this? At least I have never seen this man before.

Oh, I got it . . . he has done this all in privacy, with only close friends to be his witnesses.

This man claims that he can contact his “space friends” with telepathy, now taking in consideration that you have to pay to get in his web site I think his all for the money.

Also you have to ask permission to film or photograph his summoning.

Let me get this right, if you live in LV you can not film it?

Another point, have the local media in LV (if any at all - I live in Aus so I don't know) been contacted to see if they will cover it or at the very least have a camera man on standby?

How can you keep a large 'space ship' a secret in broad daylight over a city like LV? Have I missed something completely?

Its the 1st here, damn timezones.

Now this guy is 'amazing', but there wont be any giant UFO's over Las Vegas. I will bet my money that he will say something like 'now isnt the right time' or 'they moved the date to 2012'

I think we still have a few hours to go before the 'big' event is supposed to take place. Remember that he's on Vegas time and that he, apparently, only summons these things in the day. Also, if he wants a large crowd, he'll have to wait till the morning rush (though I'm not sure if Vegas has one... don't casinos run all night?).

I figure that we have, at least, 8 more hours to before anything might possibly happen (spaceship or launch of really big balloon).

There are people who make a living debunking so called prophets, psyics, and seers. The key is to not allow the faker to control the conditions.. which he allready has.

So the best thing to do it be prepared to act and catch a glimpse of his "UFO"

I would suggest getting some professional photographers who specialize in caputring images of distant objects. and maybe a ground based radar (or air based) and maybe the military providing a jet on alert status ready to intercept

Then if it is really a UFO, there will be no doubt Prophet Yahweh has some connection to it.... if not he is a faker.. but probly a very good one

This almost sounds like you're expecting something to show up over Vegas during the next few weeks. You're almost saying, "Well, if something does show up, I won't accept it unless the air force shoots at it or tracks it on radar."

To what extent is skepticism still rational? If a large object appears over Vegas, can hold position for over a day, and is not a dirigible, how can anyone deny that there is something there? I highly doubt that this dude has the resources to construct a giant remote controlled balloon that can both look like a UFO and stay in one place for days on end. He would have to be conspiring with Boeing.

So, out of all the places he says the UFO will appear...it's Las Vegas.

I say give him a chance, but don't get anxious or start handing him money. He has to summon something larger and more defined than a fuzzy orange ball to be believable. At least a classic saucer shaped UFO if anything. If all he can do is summon orange fuzzy balls, then I would have to see physically impossible maneuvers made by it. If that can't be done, then he can be ignored.

I'll be out in Vegas from July 3- July 11, so I will keep my eyes on the skies when I am outside. If its hovering for 2 days over the city during that time frame, I imagine that I will be able to see it. If everyone can see a large UFO hovering for 2 days over the city of Las Vegas, I think they would evacuate the city.

I can just see it now, Elvis pops his head out of the UFO window singing:

I'd certainly say that such an event would be more than worthy of it's own thread....IF it occurs.

I have no doubt that if a large unidentified object (as described as being visible to the whole city) is over LV, that EVERY news crew within 100 miles will be all over it, even despite any government objections, orders, FCC cancel threats, etc...even if done by reporters going awol from their producers, etc. to get an award...

Personally, I still think this is a balloon hoax that will ultimately succeed only in causing more damage to UFOlogy, and people like this sicken me to no end.

I'm perfectly willing to change my tune if an ID4/"V" type mothership is hovering over LA within the next 45 days, but personally, I'm standing by my opinion that this is Bunk with a capital "B"....

Any news on the event?
