Threads take far too long to load

I went to view the thread on council voting and 45 min later it is still loading. Anyone else on dialup get this kind of slow loading.

im on dial up and mine seems ok at the moment

ATS has been slow for me..going on a few weeks now...

I'm on DSL BTW.

I figured it was traffic and updates..maybe something else?

fine for me....

only if there large pictures maybe a few second difference but im on adsl 1mb --- soon to be 2mb -----then 4mb when it comes out lol

only advice is go broadband you will never regret it gives you extra few minutes a day to twiddle your thumbs

ok how does that exactly work is it the same as the rest they recieve it to there servers then use high compression to send it to you quicker?

If a page takes an unusually long time to load, I cancel it and retry the page.

Sometimes you're waiting on a timeout, and occasional overflows in the aether can leave an HTTP request permanently unanswered.

As for getting faster Internet service, I think that's outside the scope of Board Questions & Business.

switch to mozilla
download avast spyware protection, and remove the spyware

---> ats should then work fine

45 minutes?!

Try purchasing the "Low Bandwidth" version of the site in the ATS Store. It's much faster than the full-version for thread pages.

SO may I ask if you model yourself for your avatars?!

And after clicking refresh several times I notice yours keeps changing! Do us mere members have hte ability to do that?
