While it may be unavoidable to a certain extent that the medium is the message, let's not just discuss the discussion board to the exclusion of On Topic interests that make the discussion board great.

People that have nothing to talk about talk about that fact incessantly. It comes in many forms from this or that obtuse public gripe (to which 99% of the thousands of eyeballs you're assaulting are oblivious) to the general ATS, she aint what she used to be, aint what she used to be, aint what she used to be, all the live long day... but it all boils down to off topic and distracting talk about this weather we're having.

If it's raining and you're convinced something should be done, please send a private suggestion/complaint through the appropriate medium to talk about the medium, at least until we have a duly elected representative council dedicated to taking your suggestions and discussing just that topic (the medium) so the membership can get back to conspiracies, news, politics and fun!

That is why you should be here after all. It's why we're here.

I'm not even leaving this open for discussion as that's the point! Discuss, by all means, just not the discussion board 24/7!
