A US helicopter has just been shot down
by small arms fire while conducting operations near Baquba,

Two helicopters were conducting operations near Baquba, 60km (35 miles) northeast of Baghdad.

Both were hit; one crashed and the other managed to land safely at a nearby airbase. The fate of the crew is still unknown.

The American military has secured the scene of the crash, US Central Command said in a statement.

there isnt that much information that has been released yet
so i will update this as soon as more information is put up

i find it intresting how they got a US helicopter down with small arms fire
would have thought they would have said something more powerfull
