It looks like Jennifer Wilbanks will be facing some jail time if the bargaining for a monetary settlement is not reached. I have to say I am glad that she did not get off with a slap on the wrist only.

www.cnn.com...

from the above news source

LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, the Georgia woman who fled the state and faked her own kidnapping and sexual assault before her wedding, was indicted Wednesday by a grand jury, the Gwinnett County district attorney said.

Wilbanks, 32, is charged with one count of making false statements, a felony punishable by five years in prison, and one count of making a false report of a crime, a misdemeanor punishable by a year in jail, District Attorney Danny Porter said.

I say lock her up AND fine her....What a mess she caused....

Tax money is already being wasted every day, but extra little events like these should not be tolerated....Wedding jitters or not....

Yeah, every now and then it's nice when sympathy takes a vacation.

I like it when justice gets dealt, especially when people waste taxpayers' money because they're scared. YOU are NOT above EVERYONE else.

Lucky not in Texas, she'd get the DP. Heard on the news could face up to 6 years.

6 years for misinforming police.. come on, people that collect and distribute child porn get less than that, sometimes no jail time at all.

prefered sentence: 1 year
some people don't realize how long a year is whilst doing nothing.

Up to 6 years::::: 6 years, of life wasted, WOW, OMFG, a divorce is lurking in the background, as is possible insanity, criminal urges, etc.

That woman is a mental case.
A history of crimes, petty crimes but they seem like purposeful attention getters..

Did anyone else notice, in her pics, or in some of the videos..the condiiton of her hair, and teeth...Seems weird for me to notice, but I came to the conclusion that
there is an eating disorder involved as well..

thinning hair, and discolored tooth enamel..(she doesn't have braces does she?)

Websurfer, she committed a felony. A FELONY! You don't commit felonies and walk away scott free. 6 years would be great IMHO

As James the Lesser said -- she committed a felony -- instead of saying she shouldn't face the time that mandates maybe - we should push for stiffer sentences on the people you mention. Personally I think a few years if not 6 AND repaying the cost of her search along with a long probation with therapy as a required part of it.
