BOINC is currently idle problems...

ok I signed up to BOINC not so long ago and simply presumed that it was quite happy looking for aliens etc etc, but I've now suddenly realised that it doesn't appear to be doing anything when the screensaver comes on.



Any help?

I have the same problem on one of my computers. I installed and ran it on both of mine, one is a Dell I bought last year and the other is an IBM I've had since '98 (I've only upgraded the video card and ram on it!) and it won't run on my IBM even though it runs on my Dell just fine.

Could it be that my IBM is just to "low-tech" to run it? Or is it another problem? I too would appreciate it much if someone could help.

I've never used set/BOINC, so i haven't a clue what I'm doing...these are my preferences, any help

Do work while computer is running on batteries?
