Geez, you guys are cheap

I felt sure at least one of the many Masons would have made this investment...

Maybe the Masons know what a dudley is, but I doubt the rest of us do.
Is it a restaurant, town, beauty supply company, baseball bat?
Yahoo search has lots of options.

Give us a hint?

is it one of those clown cars the shriners get in, those rock, i'd wear a fez just for that reason and I'd ride around slashing foes with a scimitar!

True, until you put the second word in. "watch" A Dudley was a watch with Masonic emblems in it. They are quite impressive. I do not own one, but have a friend in Kentucky who owns several and has collected them for years.

See this link for a few pictures.

Wow, that is pretty neat.

These are actual working gears too? Stylized to look all cool and what not? Impressive.

Wow, that link has lots of neat little items.

Very nice, a photocase for dauggerotypes, made out of 'one of the first thermoplastics. You don't find stuff nicely made like that these days.

I guess you get the good beer with this stein

Hmm, so that explains the 'inspiration' for the weird symbology

"replica", yeah right. You've got the original!

I have had the priviledge of repairing all types of fine watches, BUT this Dudley guy was/is a genius among men..Less than 2600 made.
These should be preserved, regardless of expense...

Nygdan,

"photocase for dauggerotypes......first thermalplastics"
_________________________________________________

The thermal plastic you are referring to was specifically known as
"gutta purcha". The first dauggerotype cases were "pressed paper" with
ornate "copper pinchpenny".............

I may know Jello Biafra, but I have never met the "high and mighty" amongst these particular depicted Shriners.

I've seen these on Ebay every once in a while. They really are impressive, as all the working tool gears actually work! I like it because when you first look at it, you would have no idea it has anything to do with Freemasonry. I love little hidden surprises like that, they remind me of what Freemasonry means to me.
