None of those photos were of doves, go to google and type "white pigeon" and go to the image search, ALL of those photos can be seen there. You obviously cant tell a dove from a pigeon... I renamed the photos when I put them on my personal webspace, you see JL2388, the directory, are my initials, hence captainJaiLew.

You also failed to address the fact that we use dolphins (much smarter than doves) in our side of the war effort. Hitler also had a dog, I am assuming it was an anti-semite as well. Drop the animal argument, it doesn't make any sense to a rational person who operates in our world of logic.

It doesn't kill me at all, I understand that birds can be trained by whomever pleases to do so, I just want to let you know that if America ever needed to revert to such archaic communication practices like carrier pigeons or doves, we could use them all. Their presence means nothing.

At the begining of this war the US attempted to use dolphins to find sea mines (cruel isn't it?) half of the dolphins swam away never to return! It even made it to the mainstream news, over 2 years ago that was, and i'm still laughing. I guess you are right, dolphins ARE smart

You also failed to address the fact that we use dolphins (much smarter than doves)

The US army would be able to tap and trace most modern communications but they can't tap or shoot down every bird flying in the sky.

You can train birds to be very loyal at homing and it's as simple as tying a note to their leg to get a message safely across a city.

Technology isn't always going to be the best of the best. When there's no oil left to fuel an army, these are the methods that will come back into play.

There's a Saudi saying that goes something like:

My father rode a camel, i drove a car and my son flys a plane. His son will ride a camel.

Think about it.

According to some peoples logic, putting dolphins in the water to FIND mines is cruel, but sending brids over battlefields to deliver messages is not.....

Also, Dolphins are not stupid....they are gonna hit the mine and blow them selves up.

I think you will find that Kenneth Bigley was actually British. His mother was born in Ireland. The Irish Government made valiant efforts regardless to save him, and later Margeret Hussein. Both, sadly in vain.

I find it hard to have any sympathy for contractors like that going into an unstable country trying to make a few bucks off war and misery. They inadvertently make all other foreigners, such as Mrs. Hussein, who was doing heroic work for 20 odd years there, targets for these exhibition killings.

The fact she was so respected and liked in the area, as well as being married to a local man, when you try and consider locals as the culprits, it seems highly unlikely.

I hope it wasn't the US/CIA for their sakes. The Irish have long memories and know how to hold a grudge...
