why o why did they pick tom hanks to play langdon?!

btw, i read awhile back at imdb that the now running season of '24'
was supposed to be based on the davinci code, but they didn't get
the rights to use it.

i think i would have picked someone like h. ford to play langdon - you?

Tom Hanks does fit the role of langdon really nicely i think.
I can see him being really good for the part.

infinite: hm, well - only time will tell [one year, doh!]... the thing is, i kinda pictured a modern day 'indiana jones' suave type of guy playing langdon.
but i'm sure he'll pull it off nicely. -hey, look at duskboy, he's a flipp floppin'!

hanks: -'the davinci code is like a box of chocolates - you never know that you're going to get'...

You should read the book.. It's Excellent. I read it in one day... it was one of those that I couldn't put down. I haven't seen the trailor because it doesn't want to load for me, but I believe Tom hanks will make the movie very good.
