computer restarting - not blaster?

I've ran hella antivirus nothing comes up, not blaster detected either....


it seems like every 1-2 days it just shuts down and restarts real quick... has me totally boggles no warning no nothing just powers down and then back up.


It's an AMD Anthlon and using windows xp sp2

any idea, anyone? cause I'm lost.

it interupted my dl i had going last night stupid restart!

You sound like you may need a new power supply. Is your current PSU and AMD recommended one? If not change it out.......... I presume the computer is not part of a network...

One other thing though is that AMD cpu's run hot, make sure the CPU temp is normal, that can cause reboots too.

Other than that check in bios to see if wake on lan and wake on modem are set..if they are turn them off.
