Old school Chicago street punk

I'm old school Chicago
a punk off the street
Modern Day Warrior
with a punk rock beat

Shove it in my face
live commin at me
but this Tom Sawyer
won't admit defeat

Gimme a chance
and I'll show you my world
full'a living and life
and flags unfurrled

Come under the "L"
where living is more
its like living in a blender
wit yo brain all whirrled!

Emotional roller coaster
livin in the city
then moving to the country
where the lands all pretty

But i prefer the smog
and keepin it busy
come live on the edge
cuz in Chicago we dizzy

So yer sick n fed up
lifes pointless, unfair
be an old school street punk
you can live without a care

If the corporate buisness life
is do'in murder to yo hair
or your books is to heavy
L's the escape gonna take you there

I punk up the rock
and rock the street punk
my old school style
is just too sick to funk

Livin in the city
start the time stand still
if yo ain't livin in Chicago
you's just livin time kill

Some days i am blue
a passive maniac
skitz and paranoia
worry looking back

Some days i am red
agressive to the core
a happy punkish rebel
everything fighting for

Some days i am purple
knowing when to fight
an empathetic healer
i see all that is right

Sometimes i am ocean
instable as the shore
only going back
to where i've been before

Sometimes i am fire
a mass of burning rage
killing all that is
my bloody mental cage

Sometimes i am air
my breath can only give
healing as you grow
learning how to live

Part of me is sorrow
i can't help but to be sad
i see the shattered mirror
reflects the life i had

Part of me is hatred
denying what i am
killing what is good
destroying all i can

Part of me is love
look deep into my eyes
even beyond age,
my soul is very wise

Yeah, i just moved from the chicago suburbs and that poem is made to show how much i miss it. People here don't take me seriously.
