Despite what you may hear on Fox News about Iran and Syria being behind the insurgency, it seems that Saudi Arabia is the biggest contributor to the foreign insurgency in Iraq, at least in terms of suicide bombings.

washingtonpost
Who are the suicide bombers of Iraq? By the radicals' account, they are an internationalist brigade of Arabs, with the largest share in the online lists from Saudi Arabia and a significant minority from other countries on Iraq's borders, such as Syria and Kuwait. The roster of the dead on just one extremist Web site reviewed by The Washington Post runs to nearly 250 names, ranging from a 13-year-old Syrian boy said to have died fighting the Americans in Fallujah to the reigning kung fu champion of Jordan, who sneaked off to wage war by telling his family he was going to a tournament.

Among the dead are students of engineering and English, the son of a Moroccan restaurateur and a smattering of Europeanized Arabs. There are also long lists of names about whom nothing more is recorded than a country of origin and the word "martyr."

Sounds fairly accurate concerning the origins of the suicide bombers. Iraq being formerly secular wouldn't have much in the way of extremists with notions of martyrdom. Other countries that are more intolerant of other religions would spawn more extremists within their ranks. So Saudi Arabia is definitely a logical point of origin.

Sadly, that seems to be exactly what the far right crowd (on both sides) wants.
The urge towards genocide is an inextricable part of all far-right ideologies.

Good find AceOfBase, very informative article.

Excellent article, but you are also aware that what you are necessarily alleding being only restricted to Fox News, the Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, etc. have also alleged the very same thing?

IMHO, if this articles claims are remotely accurate, it would not be entirely surprising. Why? Saudi Arabia is the main source of Islamic ideological extremism and militant fundamentalism. But since most here think that the US is doing nothing in regards to this and with Saudi Arabia, please heed this: the Saudis are doing more in this war on terrorism than Iran or Syria are doing, period. Obviously, the US needs to near-forcibly push Saudi Arabia to shutdown its borders in Iraq to as to help curtail or prevent such militant extremist from infiltrating into Iraq to become those 'blessed' suicide martyrs.

Saudi Arabia's day is coming though, and be assured, it won't come from the US. It will come from inside Saudi Arabia itself. The Saudis ruling class knows that its days are numbered, they are just in denial.
