Err, Prez Bush is from a border state and he wants those cheap laborers to come on in so that his policy of exploitation of the workers can go on. This is BIG bucks for the overlord CEOs and if the Border Patrol can sweep it under the rug, even better. Sure the US could do a much better job of stemming Illegal aliens, but that would hurt business that exploit cheap labor with no benefits. The US doesn't even try and check Social Security numbers used by Illegal aliens because the Taxes taken from their illegal wages goes into the Gov. coffers and the illegals cant claim Tax refunds. The Govt. well knows the number of illegals by the tax revenue but they will never do anything. Heck, they even want to pass more laws that send US jobs overseas. God Bless America.

The cheap labor argument has one big hole in it - the laborer that is being paid $5/hour actually ends up costing the states several times that since they take advantage of social services such as hospitals.

But the burden is on the states to pay for these illegal aliens, not the feds. That is why Washington doesn't care.

FOX News (O'Reilly Factor) just carried a segment on this "order". They also outlined the new McCain-Kennedy proposal for solving the border problem.

IMO, the way to solve this problem is for the states to take the matters in their own hands. I would support an effort to man the borders with state funded police and militia. They could pay for it by holding back some of the dollars that they currently send up to Washington. That would wake up the bureaucrats. An act of civil disobedience.

"Are you waving and saluting your US flag?"

Get a clue, the congress and whitehouse have been bought and paid for by US & multinational corporations. They want slave labor. You will be forced to compete with these economic slaves forcing you into the same category.

With a large and growing population that live outside the law, there will be a general increase in lawless behavior. They live where police and any government official is the enemy. The police will be put on the offensive and will respond by being more aggresive and less careful.

We are going to lose the last shreads of a civil society.

With all the corporate corruption of Washington, we already are only marginally different from the government of Mexico.

"Viva America!" *just practicing*

You can count on more and more silence in terms of media exposure or any official comment on the situation as time continues. The fact that it broke at all is a stroke of luck for anyone wanting to know the truth of what is happening with "The MinuteMen" and the insecure border. Obviously this has come from up on high and pissed off alot of people as the word has been passed down. Just imagine what a slap in the face this is to those in the border patrol who take pride in their job and have now been told to quietly sell out their country!!!

Unfortunately, these people are not in a position to go against orders, which is most likely why they've exposed this as much as possible now in hopes that the people of this country will hear it and take a stand against those responsible. Once there is no way of hiding this away or threatening the border patrol into silence they will then be able to expose the responsible parties in question and freely voice what they know from the inside.

As for the MinuteMen, probably the best thing to do at this point is to use any form of live coverage of what is happening. If some form of media can expose the border patrol actually refusing to do their jobs then there will be no way they can deny it's happening. At the same time make it known that it's not the border patrol that is choosing to act this way, but instead being forced in to it.

You can't think for 2 seconds that our government isn't aware of what is going on. There are over 30 million illegal immigrants already here. It is bankrupting out hospitals, prisons and school and Socail Security (which they have never paid a dime into but can and do recieve from).

Actually, politics.abovetopsecret.com..." target="_blank" class="postlink">Illegal Immigrants Are Bolstering Social Security With Billions without ever receiving benefits.

They are bringing in 3rd world diseases such as leoprosy, tuberculosis and many more. In 10 years we will have no water supply for over population. If this goes on we will soon be just another 3rd world country.

You forgot cooties, polio, and the gout! Third world diseases! Oh noes111

If that is true then why is G Dubya complainging that SSI will be bankrupt by 2028? They should have billions in surplus???? Where's the SS crisis. Did GDubya make that up?

If they have paid billions in SSI they should be reimbursing all the other municipalties they have bankrupt.

This is the most serious problem America has ever faced and the government just stands back and watches. Infact thier government and our government gives them hand outs on how to take advantage of free medical care and how to obtain jobs illegally..........which is use your legal uncles SS#. If they can''t come here legal and chose to break the law and give money to SS, so flipping what. They should have done it legally.

This very well could be a ploy used by the Bush admin. to help usher iin more stringent laws through the Patriot Act. Having followed the Arizona Minutemen from their inception, it appears that they had a very good effect on the border and their results left the Fed. govt. red in the face and scratching their butts. This was a test by some average Americans and went on to show the world that tighter control of the border can be an effective way to control the flow of illeagles. When is the govt. going to to wake up? On one side of it's mouth it claims it is doing everything it can to stem the flow and on the other side, they may a well have some milk and cookies waiting for them when they cross over. Our govt. is allowing this human timebomb to continue to gow. I don't know about you, but I sure as hell hate the fact knowing that some of your's and my tax money is going toward feeding, clothing, and supporting these people. I am not a raciest person and I cannot fault a man or a woman for bettering themselves. If they want to come to the U.S. to work they should go about it in a leagle manner just like the multitudes before them. When is the American public going to make a stand on this subject? There is already anywhere between 9 and 11 milion here now and is growing even more everyday. Our govt. should deport them back to where they came from or inturn them until they can be processed and screened to ensure that they meet the standards for citizanship.

Maybe the $100billion or so for the Iraq war has something to do with your Social Security biting the big one. All that money has to come from some where. Atleast illegal Mexicans give you cheap labour, what the frig are the Iraqi's giving you apart from U.S soldiers in body bags and multi-billion dollar contracts to Cheney and Co.

When will you Americans do the world a huge favour and revolt and put your country back at the top of the pack where she used to be!

For that matter, as far as I can tell it's ILLEGAL to start a labor union in Mexico.

Indeed I erred and the history of Mexico is shown to have a Labor movement. Perhaps it's well managed. But I'm no expert.

multinationalmonitor.org...
there is this from the '90s:

La Botz argues that employers, the corrupt leadership of "official unions" and the repressive Mexican government use brutal methods to squash attempts by workers to protest these conditions or advocate for change. "Employers and union officials have ... threatened, beaten, kidnapped or even murdered labor activists. Those responsible for the violence are seldom brought to justice. The government repeatedly and continually uses massive police and military force to keep workers and unions under the control of [Salinas's ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party] the PRI," he writes.

May I point out that it isn't our collective job to raise the living standard of Mexico.
May I also point out that there are many nations that are poor, and I am sure that there are people within those nations who would like to come here and do better for themselves. That doesn't mean that they have a right to enter this country, and no one has the right to enter any country illegally.
This administration, just like the last one, has dubious reasons for allowing the entry of illegal aliens at the expense of the citizens whose tax dollars must pay for the bankrupt hospitals, the increase of diseases like tuberculosis, etc.

Furthermore, I suggest that there is no longer a need for unemployment benefits or a tracking of unemployment statistics in this country. If we need thousands of illegals a day to do jobs here, then we obviously have no unemployment issues.

Take a look at the border. Draw imaginary lines 100 miles north and south of that border and compare the lifestyles that exist within those two belts.

It is the fault of the Mexico that their southern belt is a poverty ridden cesspool. They wish to enact no solution, so they encourage departures to the north.

Given time the belts will be indistinguishable.
