whales confused of magnetisym

i found this article by just browsing and it was saying that whales were being led astray by the magnetic field being weaker or stronger than it should
the wayhow i have posted this proberly shows

whales may be like pigeons and dolphins in having a magnetic sense based on small crystals of magnetite found in certain cells.
i am not a proffesional

but if the whales are in a sense lost wont this happen to all the pidgons and they start going mad like in the film ..the core

This is a really interesting article as it shows how solar activity affects whales and pidgeons. This may be an explanation for the large number of whale, dolphin and porpoise beaching in the last few years.
