The scene of the discovery in daylight.

The partially decomposed body of a young man in his mid-20's has been found in a suitcase that was recovered from a river. Lothian and Borders detectives are investigating the find in Edinburgh, Scotland.

A police spokesperson said: "Following intelligence from two sources, police recovered a body from the water at the Shore at Leith. The body was taken to the city mortuary and a post-mortem is expected to be carried out later."

Police believe to know who the young man is and the death is being looked upon as "suspicious". A formal identification will take place once relatives have been contacted.

How do you fit a body in a suitcase? Unless its chopped up.

A trunk is much larger. Maybe he was doing a magic trick and couldn't get out?
