The US Geological Survey has placed the area in a high-threat level category, and ranks 21st in the most dangerous volcanos in the world.

The USGS report recognizes Yellowstone as an unusual hazard because of the millions of people who visit the park and walk amid features created by North America's largest volcanic system, Smith said, a status he has been advocating for years.

This doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies. I am just passing along this news, so I am only a messenger, and by no means an expert, but while Yellowstone is surely troubling, I am most concerned with Toba. I hope I am incorrect, but that place just seems like an 8 or 9.0 earthquake away from ending life as we know it around here for quite some time.
