Two US Marines have been killed by Afghan insurgents during clashes in the opium producing Laghman province, east of Kabul on Sunday. Twenty three
insurgents are also believed to have been killed by US security forces during the attacks.

There has been an upsurge in attacks on US-led forces following a winter lull.
The US military said its warplanes were called in during the fighting in Laghman, an opium-producing region that has seen a number of clashes between
US-led coalition forces and militants.
The marines came under attack from small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades launched by about 25 insurgents.

With all the comotion that is going on in Iraq alot of us seem to have forgot that their are still 18,000 US-led foriegn troops on the hunt for
Al-Qaeda and Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan.
Attacks on the Coalition troops have risen sharply after a winter lull.
The world musnt forget the brave soldiers continuing the war on terror in Afghanistan just because of the struggle for Iraq!
