I really don't have anything to add to the article, I just thought it was a very interesting read and I wasn't aware of a lot of what they spoke about.

It explains the Soviet support for Iranian separatists and how the US stepped in, affirming Iran's right to sovereignty.

Moreover, the American role in forcing Soviet invaders to leave Iranian Azerbaijan after the war reinforced this positive image.
