Witnesses say the blasts have caused casualties, including several at a centre hosting a Thai trade fair.
"A bomb exploded at the trade centre where Thailand has organised the biannual Thailand exhibition," a Thai diplomat said.
A stall owner at the trade centre says there are "many casualties".
The stall owner says a bomb went off at about 3:00pm (local time) on the building's crowded third floor, as a fashion show was being held.
"There were many people there, and there were many casualties but I cannot confirm how many," the stall owner said.
Several officials are at the scene and police are evacuating the facility.
The Thai diplomat says no Thai officials or citizens are believed to be among the wounded.

The number of casualties is yet unknown nor has anyone claimed responsibility for the explosions.
It is also not known whether the events of today in Burma are related to the recent Asia-Europe meeting in Kyoto Japan where foreign ministers urged
military-ruled Myanmar (Burma's name has changed) move towards democracy.
Luxembourg's foreign minister, Jean Asselborn, urged Myanmar to release all political prisoners, including 19 Brussels says are ill and wants freed
immediately on humanitarian grounds.
