My son is now home after being in Iraq for the last 6 months, as are most soldiers who went out with him.

I thought that maybe those who have had relatives serving, and who are now back, could maybe post some pictures of their time in Iraq. Maybe share a few stories too.

Unfortunately for some, they have just been sent out on a 6 month tour. I would like to wish these lads all the best. I know a lot of them do read and participate in this forum, so heres to you lads

Terrible story.

Feel for your son and the girl's family. The temptation to slot the nearest looking likely suspect must be overwhelming and it's a testament to the British Army that they still behave decently & with disciplne in the face of such evil. Not sure I could prevent myself going looking for some (any) payback.

FWIW I'm very, very anti our invlovement in this crazy, illegal war but do support our troops who are required to serve in Iraq to honour our crazy happy-clappy leader's ridiculous pledges.

Shame Mr Bliar's sons (and Hoon's) aren't out their dealing with the appalling consequences of their lies and propaganda (ideally in Green DMP with no body armour, a comms system that doesn't work and a second-rate unreliable weapon as their sole means of defence!)

Thanks for that CT

I suppose the temptation to retaliate is hard to put in check when something like this happens.

I, like your self would find it very hard to suppress the urge to do something about it. I suppose thats testimony to the troops involved.
