16% of all Iranians are drug users.

Considering Iran is an Islamic Republic under Islamic law, its quite posible and likely to think alcohol is included into the drug statistics.

I'll try to contact some Iranian immigrants I know in belgium to ask if Alcohol is considered a drug in their homecountry.

It blows my mind that thinking people can just eat this type of garbage up.

You need your head examined if you believe ANYTHING the anyone says about ANY arab country right now other then the fact that they are in deep # because someone pulled off a fake terror attack (or two... three actually.. actually.. would you believe its more like ten major fake terror attacks) and blamed it on them.. and the only people who believe it are the people who believe 'facts' like this one that started this thread.

I've attended five schools in my lifetime and so this number is shocking to me. I would have guessed way more users than that. Here in the states , and not from any statistic I would guess we are at about 38% illegal drug use and about another 72% are on some type of constant use prescribed drugs. And out of that 72% atleast 60% are cronic pain and anxiety drugs. Take a look around at all these online "pharmacies" and if you peak out your sheltered windows you'll probally see a pain clinic on three of the four corners. Thats if you live in a city, in the country you'll see more "home grown" health remedies.
In the hood expect to see "developers" of the hard stuff. Crack,meth, and so on.
Even the prez had his smokin days.
Not really that big of a deal. IMHO the only people really concerned over such is those who had led seriously sheltered lives...the very same that prolly will not admit they are suffering from panic disorder.
If this subject upsets you, see a doctor, take a pill, or listen to that lady with the clipboard ask..."and how does that make you feel"

You don't have to read too far to see the anomaly in your figures and the report.

You didn't add an extra zero or something to the drug deaths by mistake, did you? How would you explain the anomaly, and your lack of presentation of the link?

If drug abuse is purported to be a "natural" death, then let's go talk to the coroner ourselves, as an ATS research project.

Follow Up: I've checked the source, the figures are as reported, which means that either drug abuse is a "natural" cause in Iran, or the journalist writing it is drunk.

I'd have actually said Korea. It's a huge business there, and they can get completely obsessed with it, especially the eyelid surgery. Had no idea.
