Thank you. Yes, there are many groups out there, who are corrupting spirituality, by using it to either further own interests, or sell products or services by preying on the needs of others.

I really wished it was true, that I could follow someones program and activate my Kundalini in 30 days, or have loads of sex, and activate it(by that logic, all porn stars would have active Kundalinis )

However, the truth is, the spiritual way, is a very difficult way, and I would describe it as having to live through the mistakes in your life again, and doing the right thing. It means having to confront all your issues in life and resolving them. Simply put spirituality is the willed act of examining, analysing and searching within yourself. It is the science of self, if you may.

Whenever I am asked what I do, I always answer, I am a student of life, this is what makes me spiritual, and someone who is doing Kundalini raising exercises to get powers to impress their friends, not spiritual.

Yes, that is what I have found in metaphysical groups and so-called teachers..
Not many humans will 'volunteer' to kill all their demons for further illumination.I have a more than big problem with TRUE seekers getting scammed because they are 'seekers'.
When I encounter a scammer, I tell them that Karma is a Harsh Mistress, and they can take or leave it..I have pride in myself by trying to live the 'do no harm' rule..I do not always not judge, but I keep TRYING.
Glad there are Indigos in here to help us and keep the facts straight..blessings.

Indigo posted what i was thinking of saying about the ones who posted in here saying their kundalini had awakened. I was highly skeptical as well in hearing them not telling of any sort of major changes, that confused me.
On another site i just read today of another person that experienced something similar to the ones in here that said their kundalini was aroused during sex. This person happened to have noted that it came from the sacral chakra, which is attributed with sexual energies. They were wondering as well whether it was kundalini. And it obviously is not, so now we must wonder what in the world it is? There is some sort of energy in the sacral chakra that produces heat and warmth, and sometimes ecstatic pleasure it seems during sexual acts or the like. It sounds as if it rises similar to kundalini, however it is just a temporary warm-pleasureful feeling. I wonder what this is, it doesnt seem to have any purpose to it though.

As is with all things in life, if it's too good, it's probably not. Today, people are becoming much more open minded to the wider realities of mind and spirit. Unfortunately, it has become commercialised and corrupted, and as you say, many metaphysical and pseudo-spiritual groups have sprung up, and people are indoctrinated into belief systems that thrive on blind faith. In fact, I would say this is most of the new-age culture, very few actually know what they are talking about, they just regurgitate what they were told or read in a typical new-age book.

Yes, it isnt always their fault though, its natural to just believe what you have been told is the truth when it is so amazing in the first place. Shifting from say modern beliefs into newage-spirtualist and eastern beliefs is a big deal. I could find no other word to describe the happiness inside of me when becoming the meditator i am now than that i was saved! This is why the apostles of jesus used this term when spreading what they had been taught. The christians just use the same words and terms that the real apostles and early believers used. I automatically wanted everyone i knew to come and embrace the same beliefs i had come to have, with little thought about whether or not it was accurate. Since is tarted out with more new-age teachings. Then another person(another indigo actually) kindly told me the truth about chakras, that they were already opened, just not necessarily being used to their full extent you might call it.

Yes, it could be a type of being 'saved', a euphoric feeling but it has not/does not change your openness to the universe, it can make people feel 'there is more' but they have not explored any other ways. They would stop at feeling saved..
As george harrison says 'if you do not know where you are going, any road can take you there' an illuminated soul he was.
In a Tantric sexual experience, one can tap into the kundalini, but there is a 'complete' change in the male and in the female 'if' it were kundalini..
I cannot discuss this in open forum, but may I say it is that the male-effiminates and the female-masculinizes so that there are not 2 bodies but only one..Not until this happens have you, you have work to do..
I hope this has answered you queries..

PS.They{chakras} are NOT open until one becomes aware of what their purpose is,

I hate the term "ego", it so misleading and such an ugly word. Spirtualist or Gnostic people talk in term of "ego" like it's demons that live inside of you. I think it just an excuse to ease the pain of our wrongdoing, by creating a false demons and saying it lived inside of you. We have only ourselves to blame for our sins and wrongdoing, not some fabricated monster that you claim to live inside of you. Thus we must repent our sins.

Ego to me are just your personality with a motive driving it. Looking at it my way ego is both bad and good. You can have motive of helping other, since your concern about them since you have empathy and a humanitarian. Or you can have a motive of helping other, because it would make you look good and pays the bill. So yea...
------------------------------------------

To me all religions, share he same moral principle, and even though each religion set it's followers in differen't path, it all leads to the same destination. So it doesn't really matter what religion you believe in, it's all the same thing just differen't methods of reaching it to suit the different needs of each type of follower.

I think christian prayer is equivantly effective and the same as meditating, as you are trying to reach a higher state of conciousness.

You tend to find these thing out for yourself when you find to find the time to think and reflect. I guess thats my equviant to trying to reach a higher state of conciousness, but thats just me...And I'm trying to learn more effective methods, but I have no time, cuz I'm busy applying for college and such, I hope I'm gonna remember about thos e-books.
