Vietnam has spoken out on the 30th anniversary for the end of the Vietnam war and vows it will not stop persuing the US chemical companies responsible for the production of the Agent Orange herbicide. The herbicide, which has the active ingredient dioxin, has been linked to millions of birth defects, illness and death in the world and was used to defoliate jungles which provided ground cover for the communist forces during the war. Vietnam is asking the support of the International Community as they persue justice for the victims of the herbicide.

The suit alleged that the US committed war crimes by its use of highly toxic Agent Orange, which contains dioxin, to deny communist troops ground cover for their operations in the war years.

Earlier in 1984 $180 million us dollars was paid to settle class action suits filed by US Vietnam veterans who were claiming that the Herbicide caused birth defects and cancer.
