The stranglehold television specifically and the media in general has on the average consciousness in the world today is alarming to me, to say the least. With satiring that in mind, I am coming up with a new set of rules to guide us into the 21st Century. I still need some help with the last two; feel free to make suggestions or comment on content. There is no particular order to these, mirroring again today's society.

Ten Commandments for the New Millenium

thou shalt not turn off the TV during waking hours
thou shalt not turn off the TV while asleep
thou shalt not complain about the Volume
thou shalt honor the Prime Time Shows
thou shalt trust the Evening News
thou shalt not question the Content
thou shalt covet thy neighbor's plasma-screen-surround-sound
thou shalt covet thy neighbors remote
?
?

I know its kind of petty and hopeless, but what the heck, its a good cause.

Any suggestions for the last two?

Thou shall not take the name of your Saver, Tivo, in vain.
And most importantly, the High Holy day of Thursday shall be honored as Must See Reality from this day hence.
